Community Dental Clinic
Celebration
The Community Dental Clinic in
Clearwater celebrated its fifth
anniversary with an appreciation
celebration at the facility in Clearwater.
The evening, hosted by the Friends of the
Community Dental Clinic, gave supporters
the opportunity to see how far the group
has progressed in just a few years. Guided
by Executive Director Pamela Iusi and
Clinical Coordinator Sarah Carlin, the
clinic provides free basic dental care to
low income, uninsured and underserved
adults in upper Pinellas County through
volunteer services and community
partnerships. The Community Dental
Clinic currently provides dental care for
1,651 Pinellas residents who are unable to
afford it and works to serve more of the
over one-third of the county’s more than
300,000 residents who are living near the
poverty level without dental insurance.
