Sueños de Dalí
This year’s sensational Sueños de Dalí party at the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg had a “Dalí in NYC” theme. The
fundraiser’s chairs Montserrat and Emmanuel Cerf drew their inspiration from the Big Apple, where Dalí loved to spend time
at places such as Studio 54, and the St. Regis Hotel and its King Cole Bar. Guests, who were encouraged to attend in costume,
enjoyed partying and dancing in the museum and its outdoor garden, touring the Dalí Museum’s exhibits and taking horse-drawn
carriage rides to the waterfront.
Cindy Francis and her husband Michael,
music director of The Florida Orchestra, lent
their charm and glamour to the benefit.
Joe Hodges, president of CareValet and the
major sponsor of Sueños, who now lives in
Bavaria, returned for this special fundraiser.
Elisabeth and Alain Cerf’s Tampa Bay
Automobile Museum in Pinellas Park was
the site of a pre-Sueños patrons party.
The Dalí Museum Director Hank Hine,
one of several “Andy Warhols” in the crowd,
and his wife Laura were thrilled with this
evening of fun.
