Clearwater artists Dick Zimmerman and Jim
Warren joined their individual styles to
create a combined painting for the cover of
this issue of Tampa Bay Magazine.
“I have known and respected Jim Warren’s art for
many years since moving here from Los Angeles 27
years ago,” Zimmerman said. “I have always been
a fan of his talent of combining reality and fantasy.”

Dick was delighted to meet Jim and after a short
discussion, they considered combining their art.
Dick’s style is realistic and impressionistic, while
Jim’s is more fantasy-like. Jim had admired Dick’s
work for years and also felt that by creating work
on one canvas, as he once did with the artist known
as Wyland, they could create an original statement
together.
