Eleven elements in the painting are
distinctive to each artist. Seven images
were created by Dick Zimmerman
and four by Jim Warren. Jim created
the fingers through paper around the
pirate ship, the pier, the dolphin and
the parasail within the heart, while Dick
contributed the sky, Juan Ponce de Leon,
the lightning, manatee, sailfish, cigar
and the pirate figure. It is interesting to
see how these two master painters were
able to combine their talents to create
a joint work that is collaborative, yet
individual. 9
