I nside Old Port Royale at Disney’s
Caribbean Beach Resort is a paradise
that captures the essence of Barbados,
Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad and
Aruba. It is through this port of entry
that you will find Sebastian’s Bistro, a
waterfront restaurant adjacent to the
lively Banana Cabana outdoor bar and
lounge. On your way, you’ll pass by
a Spanish citadel with a sloping entry
pool, two slides and water cannons, along
with a shipwreck play area for the little
ones that has three small slides and an
overhead barrel of water that repeatedly
dumps into the pool.
The tropical vibe can be found during
lunch and dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro, a
family friendly place with a full selection
of island flavors and preparations, plus
fruity and frozen cocktails and mocktails.
Desserts here are interesting combinations
of your favorite ingredients, but with a
few twists, such as the warm chocolate
pudding that combines dark chocolate
cake, cocoa nib tuiles and caramel crispies,
or the iced Key lime pop with sea salt
covered in chocolate and served with a
tropical fruit sauce. Once again, Disney
has created a fun environment where you
can relax and enjoy something out of the
ordinary, but not overly exotic. We love
the islands, and it’s good to know that
we don’t need a plane or ship to get to
Sebastian’s. 9
