Heroes Ball
“Journey to Candy Land” was the theme of the fifth annual Heroes Ball that benefits St. Joseph’s Children’s Heart Institute in
Tampa. The proceeds of the ball will fund an innovative virtual reality technology that will give cardiac surgeons the ability to plan
and prepare for complex surgeries in a way never imagined. Dr. Kiran Patel received the Community Hero Award in recognition
of his prolific philanthropy and generosity with his wife Dr. Pallavi Patel.
Brittany Showalter and Andrew Hudson,
event chair April La Cava’s son, helped to
cheer along bidders during the live auction
and Heroes Challenge.
