10 YEARS AGO - May/June 2009
April Mokwa, a former art
director at Tampa Bay
Magazine, designed this
graphic cover before
she departed for a career
in New York City.
It was 15 years after Margaret wore the
fabulous “Scoundrel” dress that she
wrote a feature about Safety Harbor
fashion designer Michael Vollbracht,
the winner of the prestigious Coty
American Fashion Critics’ Award and
many other awards, who eventually
took over the Bill Blass firm. This
original drawing was the concept for
his Jeweled Raja designs. We continue
to miss Michael, who died in 2018.
