$23 million to USF
Former USF president Judy Genshaft
and her husband Steven Greenbaum
recently donated $23 million to the
University of South Florida to build
a new honors college and to endow
a dean. The Judy Genshaft Honors
College at USF will make USF one of the
only institutions in the country with an
endowed honors college deanship. The
$47 million, 80,000-square-foot building
will be one of her legacies to this
university, which she helped transform
into a top research university during her
19 years as president. The honors college
will be located in the heart of the Tampa
campus on USF Maple Drive, which
is being renamed USF Genshaft Drive
in Judy’s honor. Over the years, Judy
and Steve have made many financial
contributions to the university. This is
yet another example of how she inspires
others by her actions. 9
