Nick Thurston, Plant City market
director at The Bank of Tampa, has
brought the bank’s brand to Plant City
at its new loan production office at 120
N. Collins St. Since 1984, The Bank
of Tampa has had extensive growth
throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas
and Sarasota counties. Thurston says
this office demonstrates The Bank
of Tampa’s commitment to building
relationships in the communities it
serves. He is dedicated to Plant City,
serving as the chair of the board of
directors of the Plant City YMCA and
as president of the Historic Plant City
Main Street board of directors.
Kevin Morton, restaurant manager,
and Jackie Eash, sommelier and beverage
director of the Sea Salt restaurant in the
Sundial in downtown St. Petersburg, are
working on summer specials that include
items such as lunch at the bar with a glass
of wine, a chef’s summer menu of three
courses at a fixed price, happy hour from
3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a 10 percent discount
with an admissions ticket from any cultural,
movie or sports event held that day. They
are planning some new taste treats such as
Swiss Chard Dumplings. They also now
serve William Dean Chocolates in addition
to their famous cotton candy. 9
