As I stand wrapped in my favorite
plaid scarf on a cool crisp day,
with a warm cup of hot chocolate,
and a new pair of suede
boots hugging my legs, my heart
is won over as summer draws to
an end. I embrace the next few months with
anticipation for football games, hikes through
forests, the new school year, and the splendor
of warm amber and golden trees, full of leaves
only God could have placed. Moments like this
make me feel like anything is possible!
In this issue, we are tackling (pun intended)
the idea of limitations, and the fact that, as
children of God, we do not have to live under
the man-made constraints which can hinder
-
pose in this season. God puts healthy conditions
over all of our lives through His Word;
but, we at times put unhealthy boxes around
our hopes, dreams, and actions which may not
allow us to take steps toward a new season God
has called us into.
In these pages you will meet people who have
chosen to win the battle against depression,
anxiety, and fear in order to be used by God
and make a eternal impact on others. These
are young women - just like you - who faced
new (some very scary) seasons with courage
through Christ. And with Jesus leading, you
can too!
As you walk into this new school year, I challenge
you to step outside of your box, whatever
that is for you, and let God move you from a
place of fear into the wide open freedom He
is calling you to! Make this your reality - “...if
the Son set you free, you will be free indeed.”
