Low interest rates and dwindling
housing inventory continue to be
the defining factors affecting the
current real estate market in the
Tampa Bay area, which is great news for
potential sellers and an ongoing challenge
for frustrated buyers. It’s the classic
scenario of supply vs. demand, with
very short supply (and favorable interest
rates) keeping demand steady and strong.
Gains in housing remain healthy (rather
than excessive), so there’s no need to fear
another “bubble” in the industry. Our
luxury market has seen some particularly
exciting sales in 2019 and remains strong,
with listings selling faster, on average,
than they did a year ago.
So, how do you best take advantage
of the market? Preparation is the key
to success. If you’re considering selling
your home, now is the time. Conditions
are ideal for homeowners to sell quickly
and procure strong offers. Remember,
presentation is key. Make sure your home
is priced properly and staged well.
If you’re in the market to purchase,
make sure your finances are in order.
Either prepare funds, or get pre-approved
before you start shopping. Be able to
execute and make an offer when you find
the home you love. Hiring a professional,
