For breakfast lovers, Marguerite’s
Cafe and Catering in Dunedin is the
Holy Grail. With both indoor and
outdoor patio dining, its convenient
location just off Douglas Avenue next to
the Blue Jays Stadium and the Dunedin
Library has made it the place to go for
great food and friendly service.
They offer egg dishes from omelets
to a Redneck Benedict with two eggs, a
split biscuit and sausage gravy. There are
usually quiches, a breakfast quesadilla
and lighter options such as a fresh fruit
plate, oatmeal, or cereal. Their pancakes
are legendary, and there is consistently a
new twist available as a special. Can you
imagine Bananas Foster Pancakes? They
have them on occasion. You might prefer
the French toast or a Belgian waffle, but
you can be sure that whatever you order
will more than meet your expectations.
For lunch and late afternoon, the
menu includes salads that range from
day to day. Wonderful pies, cakes, pastries,
cookies and brownies are made in-house
to satisfy your sweet tooth.
For over 25 years, Marguerite and
her team have been known throughout
the area for their outstanding catering.
Their artistic presentations are plentiful
and surprisingly affordable for events
that range from small local meetings to
large community-wide extravaganzas.
Whenever you hear Marguerite’s is
catering, you know you will eat well. This
is our “go to” spot whenever we want
to relax and enjoy ourselves. We know
they will exceed our expectations, and we
always leave with smiles on our faces. 9

Salad with coconut battered shrimp,
along with homemade soups and chili.
They offer more than 30 sandwiches,
each of which is worthy of being called
special. The roast beef and Brie, Maui
chicken salad and veggie burger are
among our favorites. However, we often
order one of the daily specials, or from
their weekly menu that gives uniquely
themed names to new creations. On the
menu that changes weekly, there usually
is a hamburger with great toppings, a
salad topped with a protein and three
other sandwich combinations that catch
our imagination and are served with
one of Marguerite’s special side items.
For us, there are so many tempting
selections, it is difficult to decide which
to choose. We are never disappointed.
They serve beer, wine and sangria here,
but the really sinful stuff is the selection
of homemade desserts that vary from
