Dessert First
The 14th annual Dessert First benefit for the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, which was held in Tampa, began with guests
sampling desserts while sipping drinks and bidding on silent auction items. A seated dinner followed, along with awards to the
chefs who created the desserts, a live auction and dancing. Girl Scouting aims to build girls of courage, confidence and character
who will help make the world a better place.
Michelle Smith Bible was wished happy
birthday at the Dessert First event by the
evening’s master of ceremonies, Emmy
Award-winning journalist Lissette Campos.
Kelly Hackman, owner of New Port Richey’s
White Heron Tea & Gifts and the Driftwood Tea
Company, and her husband, Bryan Hackman,
master brewer and owner of the city’s
Cotee River Brewing, ate their desserts first.
