ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION
The basic construction has already been dicussed in an
earlier page, but one thing to keep in mind is the way the
freestanding pieces are actually attached to the design. In
the third hooping of your tree topper designs, there will be
marking stitches to place each piece, which will be followed
up with a tacking stitch.
Following the first marking stitch, you will place the “-1”
element of your tree topper design set on the back of the
hoop, then run the tacking stitch. After the second marking
stitch you will attach the “-2” element on the front of the
hoop and run the tacking stitch. When attaching the 3D
elements to the back of the hoop, be sure to tape them in
place so they stay put while the machine stitches.
