FAMILY TIME MEANS
FUN FOR EVERYONE
Families visit Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key to relax, have fun and keep the kids entertained.
With young children, build sandcastles,
fly a kite or splash in the waves together.
Parents may be surprised how much fun
it is to play along and feel like a kid again.
Older children may like taking a walk
through historic Fort Pickens or looking
for wildlife at Gulf Islands National
Seashore, activities that family members
of all ages can enjoy together.
And there is even more fun for families
to experience once you’ve washed off
the sand and sunscreen. Plan the perfect
family outing in Pensacola. You might
even learn a thing or two!
Begin your day in Downtown Pensacola, which offers
a collection of museums focused on the area’s rich
history and culture. The Voices of Pensacola museum
is a multicultural center offering oral history recordings,
documents, maps and photographs of Pensacola’s cultured
past. The Pensacola Children’s Museum provides a hands-on
experience exploring Pensacola’s colonial period, military
heritage, Native American influence and more.
Travel to the National Naval Aviation Museum, where
multiple flight simulators and a Giant Screen Theater hold
young visitors’ attention while touring the vast collection
of more than 150 painstakingly-restored aircraft and
innumerable artifacts — from presidential memorabilia to
astronaut space suits.
Laguna’s Adventure Park Gulf Breeze Zoo
All ages can enjoy an afternoon of
strolling through exhibits at the Gulf
Breeze Zoo. For an additional fee, feed
the giraffes and birds or take a train ride
to see hippos, gorillas and camels as you
ride along.
Spend the evening playing mini golf at
locations around the city, or visit a family
fun center to ride go-karts and play
arcade games.
After playing all day in Pensacola,
every member of the family can declare,
“Best Day Ever!”
