Another refurbished and
repurposed antique of a fun and
silly kind is right down the road
— Goofy Golf, an old-school,
two-course, 36-hole miniature
golf throwback that opened in
1958. It’s still open to the public
for play, but is now also home to
First Tee of Northwest Florida,
a non-profit organization that
promotes and teaches golf,
and golf’s values, to the area’s
youth. (And there is plenty of
golf in West Pensacola, from
Pensacola Country Club to
public courses such as Osceola
Golf Course. There is also a golf
course aboard Naval Air Station
Pensacola for active duty and
retired military personnel.)

If you’re still craving more
“old-fashioned,” just walk
out of Remember When
Sweet Shop and go next
door to Blue Moon Antique
Mall, one of many antique
galleries and shops along
Navy Boulevard — a boulevard
that has become known in the
21st century as Pensacola’s
“Antiques Row.”
