Lighthouse International Film Society screens
award-winning independent films all year long
on Long Beach Island. This year’s 12th annual
Lighthouse International Film Festival takes place
June 4th through 7th in Long Beach Island, with
a weekend packed with quality feature narratives,
documentaries, shorts, and episodic content.
Immerse yourself in a film lover’s nirvana, with
panels, networking events, and parties, all set
against the relaxing scenery of LBI and the Atlantic
Ocean. The festival was founded by Charlie Prince
in 2009 and, since then has evolved not only as a
leading film festival in New Jersey, but also as a
cultural event. In 2018, MovieMaker Magazine named
LIFF one of “The 25 Coolest Film Festivals in The
World.”

The Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County
College in Toms River, home to the Ocean County
College Theatre Company, the Ocean County College
Concert Band, and the Garden State Philharmonic,is
open to the public and features a wide variety of acts
including jazz, family events, theater, planetarium
sky shows, master glasses and meet-and-greets.
The Center also serves the College via the School
of Performing Arts and Film Studies, is home to the
Garden State Philharmonic Orchestra, and is a venue
for local school and civic organizations to showcase
their young musicians.
