CHOWDERFEST XXXII
Epic Food Competition Remains Top on the East Coast
LEARN ABOUT the Long Beach Island Region by Land and by Sea
The award-winning LBI FERRY Program will deliver you across the bay in the most entertaining way!
Learn about life on the bay while you take a ride on the Pohatcong II, sailing from the Taylor Avenue Municipal Dock in Beach Haven to
the Tuckerton Seaport. The scenic ride, cruising the historic sights and sounds of Barnegat Bay, is approximately 45 minutes each way.
The new water service has limited sailing dates and is free to ride between Tuckerton and Beach Haven. An optional reservation fee of
$10 includes admission to the Tuckerton Seaport’s 40-acre museum site and lighthouse. This private/public partnership is powered by
the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Downtown Driven Program, which includes Ocean County Planning Department,
Tuckerton Seaport and the Boroughs of Tuckerton and Beach Haven. Reservations can be made online only through the Tuckerton
Seaport, and all information is available on www.lbiferry.com. You can also download a map to navigate both towns from the docks.

Experience why LBI is the chowder capital of NJ at the
Cook-Off Classic, October 4, 2020

there is only one Chowderfest Weekend! This battle royale
features some of the best restaurants from the Long Beach
Island Region, Jersey Shore and beyond, preparing
thousands of gallons of red, white and creative chowders
for the vote of each attendee. Unlimited samples under
the big tents, along with ongoing music, family games
and entertainment, beer, wine and ciders for purchase
and of course an awards ceremony to cheer on the Grand
Champions.
For over three decades the Southern Ocean County
Chamber of Commerce has welcomed record post-
Labor-Day crowds to the Taylor Avenue Ballfield in Beach
Haven. Saturday, October 3, is a free merchant event
with shopping, food finds and entertainment galore as
the Chowderfest grounds get warmed up for the ticketed
Chowder Cook-Off Classic on Sunday, October 4.
Tickets for the cook-off are available at www.chowderfest.
