the shore and more...
Photography has been an interest of mine dating back to high school when I
acquired a hand-me-down Kodak 110 Instamatic. A few years later I purchased my
first 35mm camera and enrolled in a photography course during my freshman year
of college. Back in those days, I always enjoyed taking photos of family vacations,
holidays and special events and in turn created fond memories.
As digital photography came of age, it provided all levels of photographers with a
cost-effectiveness that has allowed for more adventurous shooting opportunities.
This is when I was struck with the desire to capture some of the beautiful
landscapes and landmarks along the Jersey Shore.
There is a special feeling you get when you find yourself amongst nature with
camera in hand, whether on a beach jetty with a beautiful rising sun or in an
isolated area of a county park as a dramatic sky unfolds before your eyes. The
beauty of our Jersey Shore has provided me with the good fortune of sharing
some of my photography in a variety of publications, including magazines,
calendars and a book.
