Spend an enjoyable evening or afternoon “Under the Stars” at the Robert J. Novins Planetarium on Ocean
County College’s main campus, where you can take a journey from the smallest size scales to the edge of the
universe. The Novins Planetarium offers an array of special events plus a variety of laser, children’s and seasonal
shows. The new fiber-optic star projector showcases a beautiful, crisp view of the night sky as viewed from Earth,
or visitors can enjoy investigating the real night sky through the lens of a telescope perched outside on the

The popular Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, Ocean County’s only professional theater, continues to wow
audiences with a diverse schedule of Broadway-quality musical, comedy and children’s live performances. The
2020 season, running from June through December, promises to be exciting and crowd-pleasing with Main
Stage performances including An American in Paris, Cabaret, Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia!, Chess, Almost
Heaven, Murder on the Orient Express, Almost Maine and Ebenezer: A Musical Christmas Carol. The 2020
Concert Stage showcases the music of some of your favorites: David Clark sings Billy Joel, The Cornell Gunther
Coasters & Drifters and An Evening with the Stars: The Edwards Twins, along with The Oak Ridge Boys in
concert. Surflight’s award-winning Musical Theatre for Children brings a selection of best-loved stories to life on
stage during the summer of 2020, including Frozen, Jr., Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, The Wizard of
