The Art of McVae
Photography by Marijayde Photography
“The Old Place” reminded McVae of his grandmother’s home.
Much like Superman and Batman, the artist known as McVae has an alter ego.
His is Mac Perry. A Renaissance man, he is also the author of 12 books, both
fiction and non-fiction; plays a half dozen musical instruments; and is an
amateur archaeologist with three college degrees. He and his wife of 50 years, Linda
Faye, live on a 2,000 year-old Indian mound in Pinellas County. This award-winning
artist has his work in personal and business collections all over the country. Mac owns
a pest-control company, is trained in engineering graphics, and was a horticulture
agent for Pinellas County. He uses that knowledge and training in his “House Portraits”
to achieve an architectural perspective.
