Sherrill Milnes, the legendary operatic star
and Palm Harbor resident, was awarded an
Honorary Doctor of the Arts degree by the
University of South Florida by Dr. James Moy,
the dean of USF’s College of the Arts.

Fred Fisher was presented the ARC Tampa Bay
Foundation’s 2015 Champion of Hope Award by
Police Chief Tony Holloway. The award was
designed to honor the memory of the Foundation’s
founder, Dr. William Hale. Fisher was selected for
the award as a leader who embodies the passion,
integrity and long-term commitment to the
community that was exemplified by Dr. Hale.
