WINE AND TAPAS
Belleair Rotary Club’s ninth annual Wine and Tapas Extravaganza at the Belleair Country Club was a well-orchestrated
evening of wine tasting, heavy hors d’oeuvres, musical entertainment, silent auction bidding, casino gaming and a Chinese
raffle. Local restaurants, including E & E Stakeout Grill, Pensare Italian Bistro and Wine Bar, Baystar ’s Marlin Darlin’
Key West Grill, Nauti-Nancy’s and Wildflower Café, provided the tapas fare. This year ’s featured charity and beneficiary
was La Clinica Guadalupana in Clearwater, which responds to the health care needs of the uninsured and underserved of Upper
Pinellas County.
Dr. Jay Carpenter and Jana Carpenter, RN, MS
were honorary chairs of the evening to benefit
La Clinica Guadalupana, where he is medical
director and she is a board member.
Joyce Baskin, Belleair Rotary Club’s board chair,
and Ana Maria Schweitzer, the benefit’s chair,
greeted guests and encouraged them to bid on
silent auction items.
Windy Bollea, who was the founding chair of the
Wine and Tapas event when she was the Belleair
Rotary Club’s president, attended with her husband
