Exquisite
Glass
Thirty years ago while visiting Italy, Susan and Frances Gravely
and their mother Lee were captivated by their hotel restaurant’s
serving ware and discovered that it was made in the town of
Vietri sul Mare. Upon returning home, they began importing these
products to the United States. Cook’s Cottage, at 100 Indian Rocks
Road N. in Belleair Bluffs, (727) 588-3303, sells these attractive
and unusual Italian creations for your home.
This exquisite glass bowl was handblown in Murano Italy, a
small renowned island in the shadows of Venice, where glass
art has been masterfully produced since the 13th century. This
dish makes an elegant centerpiece that can be filled with fresh
fruit, flowers, or if you prefer, displayed on its own. It can be
found at Antiques to Aardvarks, 310 Main St., Safety Harbor,
(727) 400-6871.
Reclaimed and
Repurposed Wood
This beautiful wood board that can also be used
as a trivet, serving platter or cutting board is made
of wood that has been reclaimed from a 19th century
European building. The Gift Boutique at The Stuffed
Mushroom, 825 Main St. in Safety Harbor, sells these
striking and practical items that work so well for
entertaining, (727) 726-8686.
