Marguerite Allison, owner of

Melissa Moré, who holds a Master
of Public Health degree, has been named
director of volunteer services for Empath
Health, which includes overseeing more
than 2,000 volunteers in roles throughout
the nonprofit agency. Empath Health is
a nonprofit integrated network of care
that provides expert, life-changing health
care and has served our community for 40
years through Suncoast Hospice. Empath
Health also provides home health and
physician services, independent living
assistance and day care for seniors, HIV
services and advance care planning.
Patrick Leahy has been named director
of programming at Tampa’s Straz Center
for the Performing Arts, where he will
book a vast array of programming, ranging
from comedy to rock.
Bernice Chu has been named the
interim director of the Tom and Mary
James Museum of Western and Wildlife
Art in St. Petersburg. She will help Tom
and Mary plan for the opening, hire staff,
develop the systems and organize for the
ongoing operations of the museum.
