We took time to visit Pilot Knob Vineyard,
which began in 2008, to enjoy some of its sweet
rosé. Then we stopped in next door at one of
the area’s newest wineries and vineyards, KFire,
which is already known for its “Spotted Dog”
blend of Cabernet/Merlot and Monte Pulciano,
which is bold, but has a smooth finish.
Back at Canyon of the Eagles, we enjoyed not
only an “Owl Prowl,” where screech owls are
mechanically called so people can view them,
but also cowboy poetry and storytelling, live
music and several other activities that kept us
active. We enjoyed this part of the Texas Hill
Country that provides adventures for all who
visit it. Until next time, ya’ll. 9
