Penny Lane Beatles Museum
Stirling Art Studios & Gallery
Penny Lane, the ultimate Beatles museum, is the creation
of a longtime Dunedin resident and humanitarian,
Dr. Robert Entel, who considered the time was right to share
his extensive collection of Beatles memorabilia that covers
several decades and dates back to 1961. He started the compilation
at the Portobello Road flea market in London in 1984, while he
was traveling overseas. The pervasive cultural and social influence
of the Beatles during the 1960s and 1970s fascinated him. Since
that first purchase, he has collected a wide variety of memorabilia
from this legendary band.
