To cut your binding, you will need a square of fabric
approximately 25” x 25.”
Next, use your ruler and rotary cutter to trim about 1/4” from the
folded edge of the bias.

The next step is to join the strips as shown.
To find the true bias, fold the fabric so the crosswise and
lengthwise grains are together. Press the diagonal seam without
stretching the fabric.
Then cut 2 1/2” from the new edge, to create 2 binding strips.
Next, sew the two strips together, leaving a 1/2” seam allowance.
