MATERIALS
FOR THESE
PROJECTS
Pennant flags, also called bunting banners, can be spotted
everywhere! From schools to sports and even strung up
at birthday parties, these fun triangle shapes are utilized
in many D.I.Y. projects, including quilt layouts! Often
incorporated into quilts or as stand alone decor, these
triangular pieces come from slicing the 60 degree diamond
shape in half!
This repeating pattern draws its resemblance from the bees’
hexagonal homes! With six sides, this foundation shape can
be repeated and incorporated with other basics to make
adorable patchwork quilt patterns, such as Grandmother’s
Flower Garden and Lucy Boston quilts. Cut some
honeycomb hexagons from a strong material like leather
and arrange them into the perfect new necklace! Your new
necklace will be all the buzz!
