Using fabric chalk, mark a line 5/8” from the edge of the pouch
section.

Secure the pieces together with tape as shown. Place tape as
seen above to avoid stitching through the tape.

Sew a second row of stitching, about 1/4” away from the first row.
TIP: You can also use a twin needle if you don’t want to turn the
project.
Turn the flap section face down and line up the top edge along
the chalk line on the pouch section.
Using your sewing machine, sew the two sections together,
stitching close to the edge of the pouch section, which should be
on top. When you reach the edge, turn the project 180 degrees.
Then, fold the sections back out of the way and trim any excess
seam allowance.
