Neighborhood Spotlight
Spring Branch Homeowner Association
The Spring Branch neighborhood formed their first
ever neighborhood association in January 2019
when three neighbors – Jared Leone, Cynthia
McGregor and Alexandra Nixon – came together to
advance their goal of creating pride and ownership in their
community by improving Spring Branch Park.
Gathering more than 25 passionate members in just a
few months, they partnered with the city of Clearwater to
remove trash, trim trees and place picnic tables in the park.
Since hosting a neighborhood block party celebrating the
newly cleaned park, they’ve noticed less littering and illegal
dumping, more people walking their dogs and even children
holding study groups at the new picnic tables. While they
will continue to seek improvements in the park, it’s clear
that when a small group of dedicated citizens comes together
with a shared goal, they can have a remarkable impact on
their community.
