Winter Dioramas and Putz Houses
Create a winter wonderland. Design
a diorama or assemble and decorate
your own Putz house. A putz house
is a decorative, miniature building
or village rooted in the Christmas
traditions of Eastern Europe. Give
them as a gift or add them to your tree.

Celebrate the coming of Christmas and
the Mexican celebration of Las Posadas.

Polar Express Pajama Party
Celebrate the holiday season with a
pajama party at the library. Join us for
the magical journey to the North Pole
to find the true spirit of Christmas. The
2004 film is based on the children’s
book, “Polar Express,” by Chris Van
Allsburg. Pajamas, pillows, blankets
and stuffed animals are encouraged.

Main Library
Youth Tuesday Tours
Schools and large groups are invited
to schedule a tour of the Clearwater
Main Library before the library opens
in the mornings. See behind the scenes
of the circulation department, view
the art gallery, browse the library book
store, visit the Youth Discovery and
Multimedia Studio and take in the
view from the library rooftop. Learn
what the library offers youth patrons.
Elementary-aged tour guests will read a
short story and create crafts. Tours are
for groups of seven or more. To book

Join us for a high-energy, nontraditional
story time featuring fun
children's music, movement, bubbles
and a story or two. Program is
specifically designed for children ages
18 months to 4 years old.

Flix with Friends
Catch a movie on the last Monday of
the month. Hang out with friends, and
enjoy a newly-released movie at the

Witch-Crafting Paper Dolls
It's a Witch Craft. Enjoy creating paper
dolls with various materials including
crepe paper, lace, yarn and card stock.

Watch and Paint
Watch Tim Burton's "The Nightmare
Before Christmas" while painting
rocks with movie scenes or characters.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead and

Winter Holidays Piñatas
Decorating Party
Attendees will help decorate large
piñatas for a Posada Party, and make
a paper bag piñata to take home.
There also will be a piñata loaded with
goodies to break open. Space is limited;

Karen Gliddon from Music with Mar
presents a fun, educational music and
movement program for babies, toddlers
and preschoolers.

Makin' Ukulele Music: Kids Strum
& Sing
Led by members of the Tampa Bay
Ukulele Society, you can play easy
songs using two to four chords. Review
the chords C, Am, F and G7, and
teach these chords to new participants.
We may even learn a new chord or two
while strumming and singing together.
Bring your ukulele if you have one. A
limited number of loaner ukuleles will
be available. Parents are encouraged
to join in the fun and play along, or
just sing with us. Recommended for
children in grades 3 and older.

Once Upon a Cuento: Bilingual
Storytime
Ms. Sarah and Ms. Claudia lead
bilingual story time that is fun for both

is when children are young. Active
participation from accompanying
adults is encouraged.
