Little Ones Music and Stories
This is an active story time designed
for toddlers. Each week, participants
explore a new theme with fun songs
to dance and sing to with lots of
movement and stories. For ages 2 to 3.

After School Chess Club
Play chess with a worthy opponent or
learn the game from experienced teen
volunteers. Meet in the youth area. For
students in grades K through 12.

"Preschool Power" Storytime
Preschool Power is a weekly story time
for ages 3 to 5. It includes stories,
songs, fingerplays, action rhymes and
a craft or activity to empower your
child with early literacy skills. The last
Wednesday of every month will include
a special sensory play activity.

The Homeschoolers Club
The Homeschoolers Club provides
supplemental education for your
homeschooler through fun learning
activities and games. Program includes
a variety of STEAM activities (science,
technology, engineering, art, math),
book club discussions/activities, games,
crafts and art projects for children/teens
of all ages.

Doggone Reading Fun
Paws for Friendship, Inc. brings
therapy-trained dogs for 20-minute
reading sessions. Reluctant readers, or
children who might not enjoy reading
aloud, are often eager to read in the
presence of an adoring and nonjudgmental
pup.

Mad Science: Wacky Waves
Create your own multi-density wave
bottles while learning about water,
waves and the environment. Simulate
the effects of an ocean oil spill and
develop creative techniques to clean it
up. For ages 7 to 12. Register online.

Teddy Bear/Stuffed Animal
Sleepover
Bring your teddy bear or other special
stuffed animal to a library sleepover just
for them. We will read a few bedtime
stories, make a nametag for your special
friend and tuck them in for their night
at the library. The next day, at our
preschool storytime, find out what
your friend did at the sleepover.

Lego® We Do Robotics Club
Enjoy this introduction into the world
of robotics. Build a creature using
LEGO® bricks then learn to code so
you can operate it. Register online. For

Mad Science: Detective Science
Students use science to crack a case.
The crime happens just before the
Bustertown bake-off. Mr. Baker’s big,
fat, chewy, chocolate chip cookie is
sabotaged, and his recipe is stolen.
Students will examine fingerprints,
mystery powders, ink samples, and
teeth impressions. They will compile
evidence and solve the crime. Keep
the investigation going with a Mad
Science® Personal Profiler.

Mad Science: Movie Effects
Give students a chance to sit in the
director’s chair and discover why
science is the real star on the big screen.
Exciting demonstrations and hands-on
activities allow students to discover
the science behind the amazing sound
and weather effects from their favorite
movies. Students will investigate 3-D
technology and experience how this
effect can make them feel like part of
the action. Motion pictures come alive
with a spinning praxinoscope.

Coding Club
Explore, create, code and program new
Lego® Mindstorm engineering projects

STEAM Junior: Fall Sensory Play
Apples, pumpkins and leaves, oh my!
The fall season brings wonderful topics
with which to learn about and have
