Installation artist Jennifer Angus challenges your perceptions

and expectations by using the unusual medium of dried,
exotic insects in her new exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts,
St. Petersburg, which is on display until January 5th. By using
large brilliantly colored insects to create elaborate patterns, inspired
by Victorian wallpaper and 19th century book illustrations, she
achieves dramatic effects. The Grasshopper and the Ant and Other
Stories, as told by Jennifer Angus, which used the Aesop’s Fable as
a starting point, was commissioned by the museum, and can only
be viewed during its showing here.
