Cocktails from Another Era
The Dunedin History Museum’s annual Cocktails from Another Era fundraiser had a theme of “The Roaring 20s: Moon Over
Havana.” Many guests wore costumes to the sold-out evening, where they enjoyed cocktails, delectable food, dance music and a
silent auction. The museum, which is located in the city’s recently renovated 1920s era downtown train station, features interactive
displays and state-of-the-art exhibits that combine to make it a showcase of history that is both relevant and inspiring. The museum
also hosts changing exhibits that draw repeat visits from its members.
Deborah Pointer Kynes, a Dunedin
commissioner, and her attorney husband
Allen enjoyed the 1920s era theme of this
year’s signature benefit for the museum.
Susan and Charlie Littlejohn are staunch
supporters of the museum, where she has
served as board chair, a member of this
event’s committee and as a current trustee.
Dr. Ron Barnette, a former Dunedin city
commissioner, and his wife Candy enjoyed
dancing to the lively music of The Jazz
Phools and Shazadi Julie.
