The Morean
Arts Center’s
Chihuly
Collection in
St. Petersburg
features glass
installations
by artist
Dale Chihuly.
For over 100 years, the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg has been a driving force
of the area’s art scene, offering permanent display of Dale Chihuly’s glass installations
and ceramics programs at its historic 1926 freight depot. This community organization
with rotating exhibits has classes and workshops for all ages, along with a glass studio
and studio store. Morean Arts Center is located at 719 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg with
the Chihuly Collection across the street at 720 Central Ave., and the Morean Glass Center
behind the main center at 714 First Ave. N. The Morean Center for Clay is located at 420
22nd St. S. in the Warehouse Arts District.

The Largo Lions Club is once again presenting a series of four musical events at the Central Park
Performing Arts Center in Largo to raise funds for their efforts to help others. On January 27th, the
Fabulous Hubcaps will perform classic rock ‘n’ roll. On February 10th, there will be a Linda Ronstadt
tribute. On March 2nd, the Divas of Soul will feature songs of Whitney Houston and Donna Summer.
The last concert will be on March 23rd when Gary Roland and the Landsharks Band will perform
a tribute to Jimmy Buffet and the Beach Boys. There are both matinee and evening performances
