BACK OF HOOP
Run the tacking stitch on your machine to secure the back
fabric in place. NOTE: Since it is a machine function, this
tacking stitch will only be one-ply, unlike Anita’s digitized
tack downs. You could re-run the step a second time to
get the two play tack down.
Trim away the excess cork on the front of the hoop in the
same manner as step 12.
Remove the coaster from the hoop, then tear away the
excess stabilizer. NOTE: You can carefully trim away the
excess paper fibers using a pair of scissors if you wish.
BACK OF HOOP
Trim away the excess cork fabric close to the stitch. Be
careful not to pop a stitch as you trim since it is only a oneply
running stitch.
Run the final machine step to finish the edge of your project
with a satin stitch.
Your DIY Fiesta Coaster is now complete!
