ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
The repeated thin rhombus shape of a harlequin quilt creates
a striking pattern that is sure to turn heads. While a harlequin
quilt such as this beautiful trellis quilt might look a little
complicated to create, we make it sweet and simple with our
quilting technique! Similar to our on-point quilting collections,
when you stitch the 16 main harlequin blocks of this quilt
together you are left with jagged openings at the edges of
your quilt. Two setting and two corner triangles are included
in this design to fill those gaps so you have a perfectly
squared off quilt.

All twenty blocks of this quilt feature folded fabric borders
that mimic the look of a garden trellis. The diagram above
indicates the order in which each folded fabric will stitch
out. When looking at the photographs of each quilt block,
you can refer back to this page, if needed, for a reminder as
to when each folded fabric border is placed. The squaring
blocks that are included will be labeled as they have less
folded fabric borders than all of the harlequin shaped blocks.
