Coordinate your entire year!
The new year is almost here, and we wanted to usher in 2021
with this fun little project to help keep your important dates at
hand. Perfect for yourself or gift-giving, these calendars are
multi-layered with textures and colors.
For our Mini Calendar, we chose to use a base of Sports Twill
to provide extra durability. Sports Twill is the same material
used for numbers on jerseys and it's easy to stitch with (and
on) as well. Sports Twill leaves a clean edge and doesn't fray
like cotton or other materials, so we found it to be perfect for
this project. It comes with or without adhesive on the back,
but we chose to use plain, non-adhesive twill for this project.
You can find Sports Twill in many places where fabric is sold.
The designs stitch on Tear Away stabilizer, and utilize a
placement stitch, but no tacking stitch. This unique method
allows each month to be seamless without having any
stitches showing.
Each month's design also features appliqué that allows you
to customize the color and texture of your palette even
further for the most darling year on display!
