and events in African American
history. Intended to support a wide
range of students as well independent
researchers and anyone interested in
learning more about the foundation of
ongoing racial injustice in the U.S. –
and the fights against it.
Brainfuse HelpNow
Brainfuse HelpNow provides
customized learning tools for users
of diverse needs and backgrounds.
Students can communicate with live
tutors any day of the week, from
2-11 p.m. EST, using an interactive
whiteboard to chat, write, draw,
copy/paste text or images, and graph
homework problems. Users can submit
papers for detailed feedback, create
individualized learning plans based on
skills assessments, and organize their
own online, collaborative study groups.
Florida Driving Test Prep
This is a free online test prep for the
Florida driving test. No library card
number or personal information is
required. This site will also help drivers
wishing to brush up on Florida traffic
laws or those who are interested in
getting a motorcycle license.
Freegal Music
Explore more than 11 million songs,
including Sony Music’s catalog of
legendary artists. Music from more
than 30,000 labels and 80 countries
is available for you to download and
stream for free.
Gale in Context: Middle School
This database provides engaging
reference, periodical and content supporting national and state
curriculum standards for grades 6 to
12 in language arts, social studies and
science. Find authoritative content
and a user-focused tool set needed to
support middle school assignments and
coursework.
Hoopla Digital
Hoopla Digital provides online and
mobile access to thousands of movies,
TV shows, music, audio books, ebooks
and comic books. With Hoopla
Digital, patrons can borrow, instantly
stream and download free content with
a valid library card.
NoveList K-8 Plus
NoveList K-8 Plus is especially for
younger readers. It features reading
recommendations for both fiction and
nonfiction for those in grades K-8. Use
it to find just the right books for every
reader.
OverDrive & Libby
Patrons can enjoy free access to nearly
10,000 ebooks, digital audiobooks,
streaming videos and online magazines
with Overdrive and its app, Libby.
Pronunciator
Pronunciator is an online languagelearning
system. Learn more than 80
languages, such as Spanish, French,
Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese,
German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek,
Italian, Russian and more.
Reading IQ
The Florida House of Representatives
has partnered with the Age of Learning
to bring free access to their online
digital library to every Florida child,
regardless of age, income or reading
level, now through Dec. 31. Florida’s
kids will have access to thousands
of book titles and the Reading IQ
feature, which helps kids select books
at their current reading level and gain
a pathway for progress. The Age of
Learning library also contains a feature
that reads books in their library to the
child.
