Storybook Ball
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay’s 16th annual Storybook Ball, “The Swamp Kids,” was an entertaining
evening of dining, dancing and bidding. The charity’s Executive Director and CEO Janice Davis and Board of Trustees
President Dan Paone thanked local media personality Don Germaise for emceeing the Ball, which was held in Tampa.
The Storybook Ball raised essential operating funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay and its four houses
that are located in our area. Since it was formed 35 years ago, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay has cared
for 48,000 pediatric families, keeping them safe and together during difficult times.
Theresa and Rick Klingel celebrated his
birthday, while dancing to the music of
Southtown Fever at the Ball, which his
family and its business helped sponsor.

Tate Casper and her husband Blake, whose
Caspers Company was an event sponsor,
continually support our community.
Dr. Jonathan Ellen, the CEO of All Children’s
Hospital, which was the Ball’s presenting sponsor,
and his wife Margaret enjoyed partying
for a good cause.
Leif Pedersen of Louisiana, a musician and author of
The Swamp Kids, attended with Sylvia and Ed Ameen,
chair of Ronald McDonald House’s board of trustees.
Diane and Rob Klingel, whose
TSE Industries and The Klingel Family
Foundation helped sponsor the Ball,
enjoyed the evening’s entertainers
and charming theme.
Gary and Amy Connors were impressed
with the benefit’s well-themed
decorations that perfectly reflected
this year’s storybook, The Swamp Kids.
