Industrial Elegance
Tampa General Hospital Foundation’s 18th Annual Gala, “Experience Industrial Elegance,” was true to its name, as the
transformed Port Tampa Bay Cruise Terminal Two at Channelside in Tampa was resplendent with chandeliers and sheer
white fabric. The formal evening began with a Pre-Gala Patron’s Party, followed by farm-to-table cuisine, dancing, gaming,
a silent auction, plus an After Party chaired by Dr. Ben and Elizabeth Mackie. The Gala benefited the Hospital’s “Fund for
the Future,” which helps to provide the tools needed for excellent medical care, advanced teaching and research, as well
as service to the community.
Les Muma and his wife Pam helped
sponsor the fundraiser for Tampa General
Hospital, where she serves as chair
of the board of trustees.
Dr. Cathy Lynch admired the glamorized
Cruise Terminal as her husband Bob Buckhorn,
the mayor of Tampa, pulled the
winning chance tickets.
Christina Moody and Tampa General Hospital’s
Chief Strategy Officer Mike Gorsage enjoyed
talking to new and old friends at the benefit.
Catherine Christie-Zanghi, one of the third
year running gala co-chairs who helped
with the decorations, attended with
her husband Joe Zanghi.
Gretchen Dominguez, one of the co-chairs,
and Mark Mathiason were pleased that
around 600 guests attended the Gala
in support of the Hospital.
Alan Divers’ paintings were included in an
on-site art gallery and silent art auction that
was implemented by his wife Heidrun,
one of the Gala’s co-chairs.
