Lokey Motor Company
Celebrates 50 Years
It was a Golden Jubilee when the Lokey Motor
Company’s Mercedes-Benz dealership turned 50 years
old. Its founder, Earle Lokey, was awarded one of
Mercedes’ first franchises in the state of Florida in 1965.
Fourteen years later, in 1979, Philip Lokey succeeded
his father to continue his family’s entrepreneurial spirit
and vision.
Over the years, the Lokey Family has developed
deep roots in the community through its support of
local events, such as the Clearwater Jazz Holiday and
Drive for a Cure. Phil says that his family is looking
forward to continuing this tradition of sustainability
for the next 50 years, as well. That is something worth
celebrating.
Nancy Carney, the owner of Nancy’s Fancy on Main
Street in downtown Dunedin has added Flora Maria
handcrafted sterling silver jewelry to her lines of jewelry,
accessories and other “must haves.” The pieces are
inspired by the riches of the planet – the flora, orchids,
sacred plants and especially the animals that represent
human values.
Phil Lokey and his wife Shannon welcomed guests to their gala 50th Anniversary
Party at the Lokey Motor Company’s Mercedes Benz showroom on U.S. Hwy. 19 in
Clearwater.
