For 16 years, Charity Works, whose mission is to help those who help others, has
been holding a tournament of champions playing the family game Monopoly at
the Belleair Country Club. Bay News 9’s Virginia Johnson will be the celebrity
host on Saturday, May 14th, as guests enjoy an opulent dinner buffet before
the two-hour competition begins. The casual evening concludes with the
announcement of the winners, coffee and dessert. This nonprofit was founded
in 1996 and provides purchasing advisory services to a multitude of charities

Monopoly Night
The Sarasota Orchestra will present
its Sarasota Music Festival from
June 6th to the 25th, where guest
artists and student musicians
will come together to study
and perform chamber music.
The Sarasota Orchestra’s music
director, Ann Tali, is the fifth
leader of this 80-member orchestra,
which at 65 years old, is the oldest
orchestra in Florida. Tickets for
