Streamsong has two golf courses, one designed
by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and the other by
Tom Doak. Golf Weekly ranked them both in the
“15 Top Courses in the United States.” They have
also been voted number one and number three
among Golf Digest’s “Best Public Golf Courses
in Florida.” In addition to these two awardwinning
golf courses, Streamsong is adding a
third, designed by Gil Hanse, the architect of the
Olympic Golf Course in Rio de Janeiro.
However, you are not limited to golf at
Streamsong. Due to its natural resources, you
can also enjoy guided fishing excursions on one
of their bass fishing lakes where, in less than two
hours, we pulled two large-mouth bass into the
boat. Our guide, Trey, then released the fish back
into the water. He made this a lifetime adventure
for us, as we learned about a sport we had never
before attempted. The resort also has a mile and
a half nature trail, from which we saw a wide
variety of birds and a few alligators. Other
activities include sporting clays and archery for
those who want to try their luck or hone their
skills.
After relaxing at Streamsong’s lakeside
infinity pool, we skipped the fully-equipped
fitness center in order to rejuvenate ourselves at
its AcquaPietra, a 7,000 square-foot grotto-style
spa. The spa offers an array of services ranging
from hot-stone massages, facials, and body
services such as mud wraps, milk and honey
rituals, waxing, manicures and pedicures to
hair treatments and stylings for both men and
women.
In keeping with our other uniquely exceptional
experiences at Streamsong, we found dining
there to be both stunning and sophisticated.
