members of Empath’s Circle of Caring
group of supporters for attending the
annual Celebration of Caring lunch
at Empath’s Clearwater headquarters
for the integrated network of care.
Dr. Ramon Ortiz, the president of the Krewe of the
Knights of Sant’ Yago Education Foundation, and
his wife Esther welcomed guests to the Krewe’s
annual fundraiser for its Education Foundation.
The organization was formed in 1994 to provide
safe passage for students, just as the Knights of
Sant’ Yago provided safe passage for pilgrims
in Spain in the 1400s. It helps Latino students
by providing college scholarships. The evening
included a tribute to Dr. Rex Damron, the previous
president of the Foundation and was emceed by
WFLA’s Jack Harris.

fashion designer Rhonda Shear put together a
cocktail party to showcase Jason of Beverly Hills’
diamond jewelry collection and Rhonda’s own
negligee designs at her home in St. Petersburg.

Jim Bullock, director of sales and
marketing at the Streamsong Resort
in Polk County, is excited that the 2nd
U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball
Championship will be held at the Resort
in May. The United States Golf Association
chose Streamsong for this event due to the
remarkable quality of both its golf courses
and the Resort’s hospitality and amenities.

fundraiser that was held to benefit Vincent

Steve and Nancy Westphal, owners

Award by the St. Anthony’s Hospital
Foundation in recognition of their
generosity and were named the 2016 Spirit
of Service recipients at the 66th Annual
Promenade.

Service recipient at the Woman’s Service
League’s Promenade fundraiser.

on the restaurant’s 2nd floor for private
parties.

center’s Corporate Partners Luncheon,
where they were treated to a Talkback
with the cast and company members of
Disney’s The Lion King.
Patricia Sutton CFRE is the new
major gifts officer for Suncoast Hospice,
which is a part of the Empath Health
integrated network of care headquartered
in Clearwater.
Sandra Nesbit and Greg Willsey,
the principles of GFS Private Wealth,
LLC, have moved their company
headquarters two buildings south from
its previous location to 2475 Enterprise
Road in Clearwater.
Jane Sweeney’s MJ Fashions &
Gifts was the first Dunedin business to
be recognized by the Disability Advisory
Committee of the City of Dunedin as a
Disability Friendly Business.
Joseph Seivold, the headmaster,
at Berkeley Preparatory School,
announced that the School celebrated its
annual Shades of Blue gala event at the
Straz Family Field House and that the
proceeds from the Latin-themed gala are
used to support scholarships and special
