a prelude to a lottery for vintage
bottles of donated fine wines.

Chef Mina Visits
FarmTable Kitchen
The Grilled Niman Ranch Lamb T-bone Chops
dish with lamb meatballs, roasted eggplant
and pomegranate is one of the new offerings at
FarmTable Kitchen in St. Petersburg.
Chef Michael Mina was at his FarmTable
Kitchen restaurant at the Sundial
in downtown St. Petersburg for its
introduction of some new items to the
menu. The heavenly Mushroom Velouté
with a mushroom brioche and caramelized
miso soybean paste is dreamy. The Crispy
Brussels Sprouts with honey soy and green
apples is a must, and the St. Petersburger
Deluxe with dry-aged beef, bacon, smoked
gouda, mushrooms, caramelized onions
and secret sauce has been a hit from the
moment the restaurant offered it.
To help raise awareness for Dress
for Success, which helps women
re-enter the workforce, the Fort
Harrison Hotel hosted a Sunday
brunch in their garden in honor of
Women’s History Month. The theme
was “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” in honor
of actress Audrey Hepburn, who
was such an outstanding leader of
women’s rights. Tampa Bay Magazine
Publisher/Editor Margaret Word
Burnside spoke about the role women
play in today’s society. Guests in
attendance donated clothing to the
Dress for Success program that has
helped so many local women reenter
the workforce with dignity
and confidence.
Margaret Word Burnside was thanked by Church of
Scientology Public Affairs Director Pat Harney and
Community Affairs Director Lisa Mansell for being
the guest speaker at this brunch, which is expected to
become an annual event.
