Monopoly Night
Monopoly Night, which is considered to be one of the best fundraisers in the Tampa
Bay area, benefits CharityWorks, an organization that supports other charities. This
evening at the Belleair Country Club begins with a lavish buffet dinner, followed
by Monopoly game playing by four-person teams that battle each other for a set
time period. The overall winners receive a substantial prize, and everyone has fun.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office even sets up a “jail” where you sip champagne

The Sarasota Orchestra’s annual Sarasota Music Festival will be held during the
month of June. This magical combination of 40 acclaimed faculty artists and 60 students
from around the country will perform intriguing and dazzling pieces. Music Director
Jeffrey Kahane will lead the participants (ages 18-30), as they perform chamber
music alongside the faculty. This year’s concerts include an evening of all six Bach
Brandenburg Concertos, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue led by Kahane from the Piano,
Paraphrase on a Theme of Brian Eno by Timo Andres, Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, as well
as many other chamber and orchestra pieces. Master classes and rehearsals will be
