Sophia Wisniewska, the regional
chancellor of the University of South
Florida, St. Petersburg, has chosen
Deborah Read to become the school’s new
vice chancellor for advancement to handle
philanthropy and alumni relations.
Katherine Cole of Belleair has been
appointed as a new member to the board
of trustees of St. Petersburg College by
Gov. Rick Scott. She is the chair-elect of
the Clearwater Regional Chamber of
Commerce.
Michael Killoren has been selected by
the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg
to be its new executive director. Michael
has great leadership skills and a deep
passion for the arts. He is prepared to
lead the Morean, which is now celebrating
100 years of service to the arts community,
into its next 100 years.

Amy Pfaelzer, owner of Dunedin’s
Beach House Gallery, congratulated artist
Carol Loiacono on winning the People’s
Choice award in the gallery’s Sunset Over
the Marina Plein Air Festival.
Richard Gonzmart of the Columbia
Restaurant group is excited about
opening three new restaurants at Tampa
International Airport. The Ūlëlē location
features menu items such as charbroiled
and raw oysters and Ūlëlē Spring Brewery
beers, in addition to a full bar. The Goody
Goody Burgers serves its famous “POX”
burgers and pies, and a new concept called
Café con Leche Ybor City serves coffee
from Naviera Coffee Mills and sandwiches
made of bread from La Segunda Central
Bakery. The three restaurants are located
within Airside C, which is home to Frontier
and Southwest Airlines.
