Their home atop the Monte Carlo Towers in Tampa
was designed to entertain and impress dignitaries,
politicians, coaches and potential players.

to live the lavish lifestyle that these
two icons enjoyed. Much of modern
Tampa Bay’s history was made here. 9

The MacDonald Training Center, a
local nonprofit serving adults with
disabilities, has recently named its
gallery the Joy McCann Culverhouse
Fine Arts Gallery in recognition of her
longstanding history of supporting
its programs. Throughout their

their foundation and businesses, Hugh
Culverhouse Sr. and Joy gave more
than $60 million to charity.
